Thursday 29th September, Antenna, 6pm – 11pm

They’re here already! You’re next! You’re next! You’re next! Yes, Tiny Invaders, the first title from Hogrocket is among us, and the entire team are preparing to dominate the (games) world, beginning with a stop at GameCityNights.

Creative Director Peter Collier, Managing Director Ben Ward and Technical Director Stephen Cakebread will lead the night as they present our new tentacled overlords on the big screen, recap their move from Bizarre Creations to independent studio and share life at Hogrocket.

Hogrocket’s Peter Collier said “We’ve always loved the GameCity Festival and admired the hard-working folks behind it, so it’ll be great to take the stage once again in Nottingham. This time we’ll be sharing the experience of starting a brand new games studio, including all the ups and downs that go with it! We’ll also let you play Hogrocket’s first gaming creation: Tiny Invaders. See you there!”

A microscopic tale of intergalactic dominance, Tiny Invaders has taken the handheld market by storm with its mix of quirky premise, intuitive controls and just-one-more-go gameplay, and the entire team will be on hand to take audiences through the journey.

As with every GameCityNights, the much loved From the Desk of returns, focusing this month on the upcoming, and still super secret, GameCity6 festival in October.

GameCity Director Iain Simons said, “September GameCityNights is going to be brilliant. It’s like a pre-festival party, crossed with a celebration of the brilliant Tiny Invaders, some amazing – REALLY – amazing From the Desk of’s – stunning prizes and all put on at the most inconvenient and stressful time possible for me and the GameCity festival team. Be there and nurse our exhausted souls..”

As ever, GameCityNights will also feature the very best indie developers showcasing their work alongside the latest AAA titles, comedian Paul Butler’s Augmented Vision, A Winner Is You prize fund, an impassioned My Game appearance, hot food and a well-stocked bar to round out the night.
