So, this month’s GameCityNights is upon us. The very brilliant Chris O’Shea’s most recent project utilising Kinect has inspired us to search far and wider for a host of other inspired uses of Microsoft’s motion controller.
Earlier, we posted the links to two of Chris’ previous bits of work; Kinect air guitar and Little Magic Stories, the other day. Both wonderfully innovative uses exploring just how creative people can get with a little imagination and some programming skills.
BUT THAT’S NOT ALL!
Microsoft are currently running the Kinect Fun Labs competition, and contestant Richard England, who happens to be in the LAST SIX is also joining us for the evening to show his music visualiser, a rather inspired project.
Here’s a video of it (it really hits its stride at 1:24 when the interactivity kicks in – literally).

What else? Well, wonderful regulars NerfGames will be on hand to unveil their work with Kinect, made as part of a 72-hour game jam. We have no idea what it’ll be, so join us and we can all enjoy the big reveal together.
