We’re often told that the GameCity approach to videogames is different. Outside of the box. Unique, even. Granted, others have also used “odd”, and given this glowing appraisal of six years hard work, our ‘oddness’ has manifested itself in Episode 4 of GameCityNights, Season 2, with an Oddworld focused extravaganza. (See what I did there?)
Stewart Gilray, CEO of Just Add Water, the team entrusted to lead the HD visual revolution currently sweeping the Oddworld series, will mosey on through the saloon doors at Antenna and shoot straight from the hip as he takes fans through his work on soon-to-be-released first/third-person-live-ammunition-shooting-western-platformer Stranger’s Wrath HD.
Starting with the now regular Frontend feature at 6:30pm, Gilray will offer fans an unprecedented level of insight into his working life, from his early days to the high-profile work on the beloved series.
At 8pm, fans will get a first-look at not only Stranger’s Wrath HD, but also hear the world first announcements of two more entries into the Oddworld series. We’d love to tell you which titles they are, but we daren’t risk the wrath of the Sligs.
Is that enough Oddworld for you? No? Well good, because we’re only just warming up. Joining us as this month’s From the Desk of, Oddworld series creator Lorne Lanning will be the (digital) eye in the (projected) sky as he casts a glance over the evening, looking back at the series’ creation, chats with fans and maybe, just maybe, tackles the question on the lips of Mudos residents everywhere:
“What does Mudokon meat taste like?”
